I am interested in the idea of being conscious of one state of mind in relation to a place. I have been using the practise of psycogeography and phenomenology in my expeditions as a flâneur and, in doing so, I hope to capture through photography, found objects and thoughts realised during my experience of a place or space, how our immediate environment affect us when we move from one place to another. It is during this time the void recedes, because the space you are in is in a state of flux. The fact that I’m Spanish national completing my degree in an alien place has given me the perfect environment of anonymity in which engage my practise. The unfamiliar lends itself to a more open scrutinization.
